Across geographies and income levels, disparities between men and women persist in the form of pay gaps, uneven opportunities for advancement, and unbalanced representation in important decision-making.t
Serving as the first ever female Youth Mayor for Lambeth taught me that we have a shortage of women in leadership roles. Women are highly underrepresented in important decision-making locally, regionally and nationally. A prime example of this can be seen in our legislature. We have 195 female MPs out of 650 MPs in the UK House of Commons.
